Endless Green

I can't see the sky for all the trees
I can't see the horizon for all the trees
All I see is an endless green
All I see is you before me
I hate you, I hate you all
I hate you, leave me alone
I hate you, I hate you all
I hate you, leave me alone
I can't see the path ahead for all your trash
I can't see what's good for all that's bad
I can't see what's right for all that's wrong
I can't see the sense for all your dope
I hate you, I hate you all
I hate you, leave me alone
I hate you, I hate you all
I hate you, leave me alone
My one true friend, my friend forever true
My one true friend, someone I can turn to
My one true friend, always knows what to do
Inner innocence, inner innocence
Innocence is a virtue
I can't see the sky for all the trees
I can't see the horizon for all the trees
All I see is an endless green
All I see is you before me
I hate you, I hate you all
I hate you, leave me alone
I hate you, I hate you all
I hate you, leave me alone
That's all I see.
Endless Green started life as a riff comprising a single verse
and chorus, all written in approximately 5 minutes. It was
written at the request of Craig Ellison, who on a camp at Nanga
in 1995 asked me to perform a song. Sick of singing the same
tracks over and over, I decided to come up with something new
on the spot. Since then Endless Green has been performed
several times for both small and medium sized audiences.
